What the Stars data shows
What we can see. Carrier rating trajectories from the 2026 Star Ratings (published October 2025) and measure-level movement for the largest carriers across the 2022–2026 rating years.
Why it matters. Ratings drive quality bonus payments, rebates and the 5-star special enrollment period, so a measure that slips moves revenue and marketing rights a year later.
What to investigate next. Find the measures behind a carrier’s movement, then check whether the same measures are moving for competitors in your markets.

What these numbers are. Carrier-level averages on this site are derived by MedicareInsights from contract ratings (weighted as stated on each page); they are not ratings published by CMS. Measure-level views cover the top carriers only. CMS publishes the 2027 Star Ratings in the fall of 2026; this section moves to them once they are ingested, and a full contract-level Stars ingest is on the roadmap.
