CMS released the CY2027 Medicare Advantage and Part D landscape (data last updated September 22, 2026). This briefing compares it with the CY2026 landscape (CY2026_Landscape_202609.zip). The landscape lists the plans offered in each county; it carries no enrollment.
Headline changes
- Medicare health plans (MA, MA-PD, SNP and cost plans) in the landscape: 5,089 in 2027 against 5,133 in 2026 (−44).
- 994 plans appear in the 2027 landscape and not in 2026; 1,038 appear in 2026 and not in 2027 (full list).
- $0-premium plans: 3,673 in 2027, 3,046 in 2026.
- Average monthly premium across plan offerings: $14.86 in 2027 (−$5.30 from 2026); average in-network MOOP $7,671 (+$641). Both unweighted.
